They didn't have the same sound quality, so I just had to go to Walmart and buy some bc these don't work as well as Apple Earphones. :(

These are not the same as the original headphones that come with the iPhone 3G. I bought them thinking that the volume control would be a nice bonus but that feature isn't supported on the 3G. The plastic on the ear pieces are a little longer then the original earphones (the part covering the cord) which tends to make them feel not as snug in my ears but otherwise they're similar.

I don't miss the volume control, honestly. Plus the cheapest ones with volume control are still at least double the cost of these. I'm pretty rough on my stuff and these have held up well. i only wear one bud in the car and sometimes the other bud snags hard on random items. Still works great!

Ok, i was in a rush when I bought this and thought, hey, this is the exact same thing as my iPhone headset.

Has a mic, check and yes, has a remote control of volume.
Little did i know, that this thing works ONLY with the iPod, and apparently not even with EVERY iPod, but only a few select ones. It also works with a few MacBooks, but again, not with EVERY MacBook.

I thought this information was hard to extract from the description, even though it actually does state " ... works with blah, blah ..." - it doesn't explicitly say which - apple - device it doesn't work with.

My loss, their gain, I guess.
3 stars for that, as I am sure the deception is on purpose. I am not the first person to mention it.
