I haven't tried putting my iphone in the case with out the soft cover, that may help, but it is such a tight fit and the lid dont close, plus it is difficult to holster on belt.

If you are looking for a case that CLIPS to the belt this is it. It fits the iPhone 3G. And I love it, I use it everyday now! No more sweaty pockets or red spots on your thighs. Now, the problem is that you can put your belt through it, the two holes in the case does not go through and it just fails. The clip works. The material is cheap itself, what do you expect though. I recommend this clip if you want it to clip and not to skim your belt through it.

What is it with the iphone case holders that have the metal belt clips? This one lasted about a month. Total garbage I would be more upset but I wasn't expecting much for the $2.98 I paid for it that included mostly shipping. CHEAP

After reading the reviews for this carrying case, I ordered 3 of them. They arrived after a week, via the US Postal service, with free shipping. They appear to be well made and as advertised. Now for the BAD NEWS: the case will not hold an iPhone with a jell (or any other) covering on it. The phone fits nicely, a little snug at first, but there is no way its going into the case with anything on it. My phone is like an ice cube, slippery and I have to have a cover on it. I tend to drop it without one and it will no doubt break if not for the silicone cover. I wrote customer service. They, very politely, responded that they didn't advertise that the case would hold a covered iPhone and that yes, it was slightly different, but improved over the earlier one that may have held a covered phone. The improvement was something to do with the belt clip. They did offer to take them back, or refund 20%. Bottom line: If you have a protective cover on the your iPhone, this case will not fit it!
